About the Game

Prison City is an action-packed side-scroller where players use chakrams and grenades to infiltrate eight security zones, defeat challenging bosses, and discover hidden upgrades. Equipped with a host of customization options, a “Boss Rush”, “Bomb Mode”, and a retro-themed soundtrack by Raddland Studios, Prison City is a modern retro homage to classic titles of old.

History

Programancer's game development journey started back in 1996 with the release of Duke Nukem 3D, building levels and editing the .con files to make a new weapon that shoots poop in absurdly large quantities. Since 2003, he began dabbling in Game Maker 4 and learning how to approach all aspects of game development – from the pixel art to sounds, to the eventual release of fully realized games.
